# Relevan > Relevan is managed AI search for your data. You send your records. Relevan builds a tuned search index, serves it through an HTTP API to developers and AI agents, and improves the ranking from each search. Relevan suits a team that puts search in front of AI agents or users, and that does not want to run a search cluster or tune relevance by hand. ## How it works - 01 / Drop it in: Your records become a tuned index. - 02 / It learns: Agents send feedback about their searches. - 03 / It improves: Each search makes the next one smarter. - 04 / No ops: Nothing to size, tune, or keep running. The API has two main calls: search, and feedback about what happened after the search. Relevan runs the indexing, the tuning, the upgrades, and the uptime. There is nothing to size, shard, or keep on call. - Relevance tuning needs no engineer. Each index starts with tuned search. On the Learn plan and above, Relevan also tunes the ranking of each index from the traffic of that index. - Agent feedback is part of the product. Each search response tells the agent why a result matched and what to try next. The feedback endpoint of the same API trains the ranking. You do not need a separate analytics tool. - The ranking belongs to your index. Your results improve from your own traffic. The glossary defines the terms that Relevan uses, such as the learning loop: https://feat-650-agent-skills.docs.dev.relevan.dev/docs/glossary ## Get started - Start free in the console: https://feat-650-agent-skills.console.dev.relevan.dev - Talk to sales about dedicated capacity and an SLA: sales@relevan.dev ## Other Relevan documents - [Documentation index](https://feat-650-agent-skills.docs.dev.relevan.dev/llms.txt): Each page of the Relevan documentation and blog. - [API index](https://feat-650-agent-skills.api.dev.relevan.dev/llms.txt): The API capabilities, the rate limits, and the search quota. - [OpenAPI spec](https://feat-650-agent-skills.api.dev.relevan.dev/openapi): Each endpoint, with its request and response schemas. - [relevan-setup](https://feat-650-agent-skills.api.dev.relevan.dev/skills/relevan-setup/SKILL.md): Set up Relevan search from the start: authenticate, create an index, load documents, run the first search, and send the first feedback. Use when a user asks you to add Relevan search to a product. - [relevan-ranking-signals](https://feat-650-agent-skills.api.dev.relevan.dev/skills/relevan-ranking-signals/SKILL.md): Find the data that tells Relevan which result is the best one, such as prices, sales, or activity, and add it to each document. Use before you design a Relevan mapping. - [relevan-mapping](https://feat-650-agent-skills.api.dev.relevan.dev/skills/relevan-mapping/SKILL.md): Draft and deploy a RelevanMapping from a sample of documents. Use when a Relevan index has no mapping, or when the documents get new fields. - [relevan-feedback](https://feat-650-agent-skills.api.dev.relevan.dev/skills/relevan-feedback/SKILL.md): Send click, conversion, and llm_judgment feedback to Relevan after a search, so the ranking gets better. Use when you build search into an app, or when an agent acts on a search result.
